vorbis-tools

Ogg Vorbis is a high-quality lossy audio codec which is free of intellectual property restrictions (like those surrounding MP3). These are the tools that one needs to create and play Ogg Vorbis files on the commandline, as well as a simple commentor.

    Changes: All tools were updated for Ogg Vorbis 1.0rc3. Oggenc now supports the advanced bitrate management features. Ogg123 has been majorly reworked and now does streaming correctly. UTF-8 support was improved in all the tools.

    Changes: This release adds lots of bugfixes, new vorbis libraries, much better sounding encoded audio, and a new vorbiscomment which now actually works quite well.
