Web Performance Load Tester is a suite of testing tools for Web servers, including load testing, Web page performance analysis, and operating system tuning. The statistical analysis in the Load Testing Module takes your site's performance criteria, and determines the number of users your Web site can handle. Because data is collected at the URL level, it not only identifies slow Web pages, but identifies the particular part of the Web page that caused the problem. It includes hard-to-find features such as IP spoofing, client certificates, multiple simultaneous test cases, authentication, SSL recording and playback, automated analysis, AJAX support, SOAP support, and more.

Changes: This is a major release. One of the application’s most appealing new features is its use of visual displays and video demonstrations that let users with zero programming experience create test cases, run load tests, and analyze the results. The new Click-to-Configure feature lets users configure dynamic text entry fields simply by importing a list of established values. New Performance Goal Analysis instantly pinpoints the exact system location causing performance problems, while its User Capacity Analysis lets users know exactly how many visitors a site can handle.

Changes: This release fixes two bugs that only affected a small number of users, one where the Advanced Statement Management logic took hours to run (WPA-1284), and another where one particular site was causing the reports to not be generated (WPL-925). If you're using the program and aren't having either of these problems, it's recommended that you skip this update for now.

Changes: The TCP connection retransmits/second and disk metrics should now have floating point accuracy. The VU now terminates when no dataset rows are available.

Changes: This release is very stable. The last three releases have been minor changes to fix problems for customers with issues not anticipated in the test lab, i.e. 64-bit processors. If your current version is working fine for you, it is recommend that you wait until the 3.6 release.

Changes: This update delivers French language support automatically to those computers set for this language. It includes a handful of minor bugfixes.
