The purpose of the wm-icons project is to provide a themeable icon distribution for window managers.

Changes: 13 completely new icon sets have been added. There are small improvements.

Changes: The new extended icon list now includes 84 names. Two new GNOME icon sets were added. All 17 icon sets are updated to the new list. This distribution is big, as it contains 1079 xpm icons and 349 symlinks in total.

Icon sets 24x24-infox and 48x48-infox use 15 colors only.
Colourmaps
Very nicea idea to have such sets, but most (if not all) seem to eat a huge number of available pens. Would be nice to see some spartan low-colour versions with no backgrounds added. These would also be easy to theme like a couple of sets seem to be: by slapping them on a background.
If only you could use vector icons loutside IRIS... =)
