Wörms of Prey is a multi-player, real-time Worms clone for Linux and Windows similar to Liero, NiL, or Wurmz. You control a little worm and try to score as many frags as possible by shooting other worms or scoring goals.

Recent releases


Changes: This release contains several bugfixes. The most important of these fix a 32-/64-bit incompatibility and some rarely occurring multithreading related crashes of clients.


Changes: This release fixes a bug which allowed particles to leave the map, which resulted in an application crash. MacOS X users will be glad to hear that from this release on, the needed SDL frameworks are included in the package.


Changes: This release re-establishes synchronicity among clients running on different architectures, along with some minor bugfixes and a few new features (FPS display and improved command line help).


Changes: The most outstanding new features are SkwörmZones (Matrix-like time deformations which can occur randomly), stationary guns, and improved physics. Also notable are the introduction of bots, new weapons (helicopter and dirt grenade), and a new theme (sky). Other changes concern the improvement of network communication and GUI interface, the possibility of customizing the keyboard configuration and the documentation of the replay mode which allows one to look again at the best scenes of the last match.


Changes: This release adds improved physics and the new feature SkwörmTime (very similar to "bullet time").
