xcalib

xcalib loads the 'vcgt'-tag of ICC/ICM color profiles to the X- server, in order to calibrate the user's display by tweaking the LUTs in the video card. Users need a profile which contains the 'vcgt' tag to achieve monitor calibration with the video card's LUTs. These profiles can be created with most commercial profile creation programs. For testing purposes, some profiles are added to the tarball.

Changes: gl.tter's patch for Win32 multi-monitor support and bleader's patch for FGLRX multi-monitor support have been applied. Support for LUTs bigger than that in the profile has been added. Linear interpolation is used for creating the values in between. The -n parameter has been changed: now the size of the simulated LUT must be given after -n/-noaction.

Changes: Zero-interpolated upscaling if LUT is greater than vcgt was added. Reading of mLUT instead of vcgt was added, but is not currently memory-safe. This is used for profiles created by ProfileMechanic Monitor. Obviously wrong profiles made by AdobeGamma are now concealed. An fglrx version was added for ATI's proprietary driver. A loss calculation option ("-loss" or "-l") which shows how many steps are lost by calibrating the device was added. Limits for VideoCardGammaFormula were added to the internal parser.
