Changes: Support for F-prot 3.x.x and 4.x.x was removed. The menu system was reworked to better support internationalization. A bug in the report file selection widget was fixed.

Changes: The GUI was improved. Support for roxterm was added. Support for gnome-terminal was fixed. The Xfprot_Scan and Xfprot_Update scripts were fixed to work with dash. Support for f-prot v6 option --mount was added. Support for f-prot v6 options --boot, --adware, and --application was improved.

Changes: The package was migrated to autoconf. Native language support was added. The code was cleaned up. The GUI look and functionality were improved. GTK version 2.8 is now required.

Changes: Some bugs in the scripts for F-prot v.6 were fixed. Some broken translations were fixed. A simple man page was added. Some outdated information in the README file was removed. The source code was moved to autoconf and automake for easier configuration and building. Please remove any previously installed version before installing this one.

Changes: The fprot_update() function and the Xfprot_Update script were fixed when using su. The discovery of the installed GTK version in the configure script was improved. All references to GTK_SIGNAL_FUNC and GtkSignalFunc were substituted with G_CALLBACK and GCallback, as they are going to be deprecated in GTK 2.14.
