[»] nice program but needs work
by George Gesslein II - May 28th 2006 22:13:26

Fix xmountains so I can relax to beautiful snow
covered mountains smooth-scrolling across full screen,
please. When I ran it, I noticed a number of bugs and
it wouldn't smooth-scroll. This would be a very nice
program if the bugs were worked out of it. Thanks
for your work so far.

Thank you for your interest in xmountains. Its nice to see that people still find it interesting over 10 years after I wrote it. I'm afraid that the problems with the scrolling are because most X servers are not optimised for horizontal scrolling, it works better on some platforms than others.
