Extended Module Player
The Extended Module Player is a command-line mod player for Unix-like systems that plays over 80 mainstream and obscure module formats from Amiga, Atari, Acorn, Apple IIgs, and PC, including Protracker (MOD), Scream Tracker 3 (S3M), Fast Tracker II (XM), and Impulse Tracker (IT) files.

Changes: This release fixes note periods for instruments with finetunes. Version 2.6.1 introduced a bug in period calculation, causing all slides to sound incorrectly. Users of that version are encouraged to upgrade.

Changes: This release has improved Impulse Tracker module support, better tracker fingerprinting, and minor fixes in MOD replaying.

Changes: This release has a much improved Winamp plugin, adds support for ProPacker 2.21 and The Player 5.0 formats, fixes Adlib instrument emulation in RAD and HSC modules, adds support to sndio in OpenBSD, and fixes many memory leaks and memory access bugs. Small bugs have been fixed in many formats including MOD, S3M, and IT.

Changes: This release has a better Winamp plugin, and the Amiga port was significantly improved. It also adds support for TakeTracker TDZ4 modules, special handling for XM modules created using MED2XM, a port for AROS, and support for Amiga XFD decompression. Bugs have been fixed in many formats, including S3M, IT, and DMF.

Changes: This release adds support for Startrekker/AudioSculpture AM synth sounds, PulseAudio and Amiga AHI sound drivers, a GDM loader, and a WinAmp plugin. Bugfixes include better handling of OctaMED, Impulse Tracker, and Ultratracker samples, improved translation of MDL and S3M effects, and more accurate period conversion.
