YouGrabber

YouGrabber is a lightweight, command line YouTube.com video downloader, made from scratch in ANSI C. It's known to compile and run out of the box on several POSIX platforms (GNU/Linux, *BSD, Mac OS X, and Cygwin) and computer architectures (x86, x86_64, and PPC).

Changes: This is a hotfix release that makes things work again after some changes in YouTube.com.

Changes: This release adds a configure option in '.yg.conf' to store downloaded videos in a specified directory, and adds UTF8 support to properly display special characters in the video title and file name. It fixes a 3XX HTTP code issue, as well as two memory leaks (with the help of Valgrind). It has major code cleanup and enhancements. The man page has been revised.

Changes: Many fixes (mainly to address a segfault and a small memory leak) and code cleanups were made. If the YouTube login connection times out, the pending downloads are canceled. CPU usage has been heavily decreased. A man page and a CONTRIBUTORS file have been added. The Makefile has been revised.

Changes: The interface now dynamically resizes when running in a terminal emulator. More code cleanup and fixes were done.

Changes: In the interface, URLs with more than 128 characters will be truncated. An elapsed time bug was fixed.
