Changes: Receipt printing support was added for thermal printers through CUPS. Special offer support was added. Several crash points in the Linux client, daemon, and admin console were fixed.


Changes: This release is a complete rewrite. Performance and stability have been greatly improved. It is far easier to install and use. Cybercafe management is more professional, slick, and integrated. There is much cleaner object oriented code (Lazarus Delphi). It no longer depends on Apache. All DireqCafe 1 and 2 features are supported and improved. There are many new features.


Changes: Users can now pause their workstation (the counter stands still but the system is locked) when they need to leave it for a moment. Graphical messages are now displayed to warn users when time is running low or has run out. Bugs related to disk access with more than 10 users have been fixed. Many bug fixes were made in the web-admin tool. This is a developers-only release. None of the new features are translated yet, and the installation process needs to be simplified.


Changes: The system now integrates fully with the desktop enviroment or window manager. It does not count down until the enviroment is actually loaded (rather than relying on a fixed wait time it detects this) and exits cleanly if the user logs out of the desktop enviroment. Major performance enhancements were also made--icafe_counter now runs at under 1% CPU per process on nearly all machines.


Changes: Users no longer need to be manually activated. Once a user belongs to the icafe group, you can just add time for him. You can now forcefully log users out. A major bug in the way the accounting system handled price changes has been fixed.


Changes: An annoying CPU hogging bug has been fixed. The Tcl/Tk GUI has been replaced with a brand new and fully functional Web-based control panel which requires a webserver. Many other small bugfixes were made. A new security model was implemented to finally do away with world-writable files.


Changes: An accounting system has been added, and several bugs in the installation process have been fixed.


Changes: The final core feature has been added with the addition of a command to remove old users from the database.
