About:
QuickRip is a basic DVD ripper for GNU/Linux written in Python and PyQt. It lacks options to fine-tune how you want to rip your DVD, but it makes ripping quick and easy, and so is ideal for those who aren't bothered about framerates, clipping, and other unecessary options. It uses mplayer and transcode to retrieve DVD info and rip the tracks.

Release focus: Major feature enhancements

Changes:
The ETA is displayed in the Qt progress dialogue. There is a choice of DivX and XviD video codecs. Video bitrate can be set manually. Cropping is properly autodetected to remove black borders. The DVD device path can be set. The Qt GUI has changed to more closely comply with KDE HIG. output.py is now included.
