NetHack is a single player dungeon exploration game that runs on a wide variety of computer systems.

Release focus: Minor bugfixes

Changes:
Several minor inconsistencies and a potentially fatal bug caused by dropping loadstones have been fixed. Levels completely filled with monsters are handled better. There are Win32 TTY performance enhancements when playing on Windows 98 and Windows Me, and Win32 GUI player selection fixes. There are fixes for X11 player selection bugs, one of which could be fatal. A gold-in-shop-container cheat has been eliminated.

Ah, with the Qt Nethack, this game has taken away more homework time than I should let it. Don't download unless you expect to lose touch with family and friends.
