Section: Unix

Added: Tue, Jul 24th 2001 07:49 UTC (7 years, 2 months ago) Updated: Thu, May 22nd 2008 11:40 UTC (4 months, 18 days ago)

Screenshot About:
XMMS-SID is an XMMS plugin which provides support for playing the so-called "SID tunes". For the actual playing, XMMS-SID uses the libsidplay SID-chip/6502 emulator engine. It features a file-info window, STIL-database support, and good configurability.

Release focus: Major bugfixes

Changes:
Various bugs were fixed, including a severe bug in STIL-parser which could cause random crashes. The parser was also improved and now can handle all STIL data. Minor cosmetic bugs in the fileinfo dialog were fixed, and the dialog was improved. Some general code cleanups were also made.

[»] New release in works, sorry for delay.
by Matti Hämäläinen (ccr/TNSP) - Feb 25th 2002 00:44:40

Version 0.8.0 is currently under development, but it has taken quite much time (due to other projects and laziness). It's coming, with blazing new features, have faith! :)

Version 8.0beta5 is out. And I have absolutely no idea how to see the sub-song selector. The file information dialog pretty much has become useless since the latest XMMS release. It shows me the filename I'm playing, and which plugin is being used. =( I hate the songpos patches and there is none for the current XMMS, besides, why's it called 'seekbar popup'? The seekbar doesn't work while playng SIDs, and there is absolutely no popup.
