We finally have been able to continue work on the wxWidgets win32/Gtk
native GUI mysqlISP frontend.
Thanks to a very large ISP we are already in alpha testing with 1000s of
real live customers.
(French dude: Chill, this is the ONLY gpl ISP management solution. This is
not some webmin or network appliance php/java toy. This is pure distributed
job queue theory for several to 1000s of high end servers running telco
quality internet services. We put a link to your nice hosting control
panel. So I hope you are happy and do well.)

mysqlISP is not the leader
by Thomas Goirand - Aug 21st 2004 12:51:14
Hello.
I was realy upset to see your website saying that "the number of
downloads, activity, hits, tech support email, and subscribers at
www.freshmeat.net indicate that we ARE the absolute world leader in GPL
software in the competitive total ISP management solution category". First,
this is NOT true (just compare to Domain Technologie Control
statistics at freshmeat, I don't even talk about the thousands of downloads
I have per week) and second, posting comments to other projects saying you
are the leader and they sux is NOT a good idea.
Moreover, mysqlISP is all but easy to use in production (it sees all
services separatly wich IMHO is a BIG mistake). I have already some returns
of people switching from your solution to DTC.
If you reconsider the way you talk about yourself and others, maybe we
could join our efforts in building a GPL control panel for hosting, like
you said as comment in my project... In the meanwhile, please do NOT send
any bad comment anymore to my project page.
