 archmbox 4.9.0 (Default)
Section: Unix

Added: Sat, Jan 12th 2002 15:41 UTC (6 years, 8 months ago) Updated: Wed, Mar 23rd 2005 13:03 UTC (3 years, 5 months ago)

About:
Archmbox is a simple email archiver written in Perl which can extract email messages from one or more mailboxes.

Release focus: Minor feature enhancements

Changes:
This release features an improved engine to generate list mode's reports. The output can be safely redirected to a log file or piped trough a pager without odd results. A regular expressions based filter was added, which allows some mailboxes or directories to be filtered while archiving. Some minor fixes and cleanups were performed as well.

[»] Overall, very nice
by David Stuart - Aug 24th 2003 20:36:04

Very handy and easy program to set up. Recommended for those of you (like me) who just want an easy way to delete or archive old e-mails. Works with very little setup, and not very many dependencies on other products.

My only possible suggestion for a feature for archmbox is to have a way to do regular expressions on any header, instead of the usual from, to, subject, type, etc.

[»] Added support to Bcc?
by David Collantes - Apr 10th 2002 15:54:22

And how, precisely, are you doing that? Bcc fields does not show on emails...

It is shown in the emails you send... the bcc support is only useful if you run archmbox against your "Sent" mailbox.
