LinuxMagic VPN Firewall is a firewall kit that uses built-in 128 Bit Encryption, IPSEC-compatible VPN standards, and a 'no-write' design. It is a complete, standalone mini-distribution designed specifically to act as a VPN to connect two remote locations seemlessly.

Changes:
This is now distributed on 1.44 floppy to allow editing on Win2000/NT boxes. initrd.gz is encrypted to prevent tampering. Encryption keys are now automatically removed from the filesystem, and the floppy module was removed to prevent access of the keys. The initialization scripts were updated. NE2000 and 3Com network drivers are now included as a default. This is the last Version Prior to the 2.4 kernel series.

This looks cool, but aren't they violating some licensing??

How is the license allowed to be "propriatary". I've looked all over their
web page, and can find no mention of a "downloadable version".
It is my understanding that if your software was based on Linux (and this
clearly is), that you had to release the code for your modifications.
How far off am I? What's the difference that allows them to withhold even
the freely downloadable binaries?
