About:
RackTables is a tool to manage tens of racks,
hundreds of servers, and thousands of MAC and IP
addresses. It will work with a single rack as
well. It features a real-life rackspace model,
typed rack objects with flexible attribute sets, a tagging system,
IP address management ready for NAT, virtual
routers and load balancers, accurate network
connection handling, a universal search function,
a multi-user access model, and an extensible
dictionary.
Release focus: Major feature enhancements
Changes:
The most innovative feature of this release is the
RackCode, a configuration language which replaces
the traditional grant permission system in
RackTables. RackCode makes use of the tags feature
introduced by the 0.15 release, hence making the
whole concept complete. Other notable changes are
tag support for users, an initial implementation
of the "tag roller" utility, a "my account" page,
and miscellaneous user interface updates.
