 apcupsd 3.8.1 (Stable)
Section: Unix

Added: Thu, Oct 21st 1999 19:49 UTC (8 years, 11 months ago) Updated: Fri, Jan 6th 2006 03:34 UTC (2 years, 9 months ago)

About:
apcupsd provides UPS power management for APC products, including most BackUPS series models (including USB), SmartUPS V/S, SmartUPS (NET/RM), and Matrix series. It works under Linux and most Unix systems, as well as Win32.

Release focus: N/A

Changes:
This release corrects depend creation in config.status, upgrades to the latest version of gcc, and does much better argument checking in the .cgi programs (this improves security, at least psychologically). It fixes Win32 to work with simple signalling UPSes, an Alpha Tru64 64/32 bit problem in the networking code, and (hopefully) the random incorrectness on battery timers.

    [»] Macintosh client released!
    by equinux APCTracker Development - May 9th 2001 06:14:49

The equinux APC Tracker is a APCUPS compatible client application, that powers off a Macintosh client computer regularly once power is interrupted. When starting up, the application connects to a APCUPSd network server (mostly under Linux/Windows), that is directly connected to the UPS. The server sends a signal to the client in case of a power failure. More information available on the APC Tracker Website
