The best wm i ever seen ...

AfterStep was the 1st wm i have used, after that, testing of others take me
only 2-3 hours before reverting to AS :-)

It was the last I tried on Linux, but the one I remember having the
best experience with.

Yknow, I used to be a DIEHARD AfterStep user.. its lightweight, modular
design, along with pleasing visual capability and intuitive functionality
was wonderful.. it seems to have fallen a bit from the days I used it..
development seems to have slowed down from where it used to be, which is a
shame.. ::shrug::
i use E-DR16 now, and theres basically no going
back from that =)

Far from it. AfterStep development is as strong
as ever, with quite a lot of cvs activity every day.

There was a large period of time (just over a year) during which the 2.x
series was being developed outside of the stable 1.8 series... which some
people misinterpreted as "slow development" or project abandonment. I'll
refrain from commenting on which direction E17 is from E16. :D
Regardless... progress has not slowed. Quite the opposite. Enjoy.
