Crackup is a pretty simple, pretty secure remote backup solution for folks who want to keep their data securely backed up but aren’t particularly concerned about bandwidth usage. Backups are compressed and (optionally) encrypted via GPG and can be transferred to the remote location over a variety of protocols, including FTP. Additional storage drivers can easily be written in Ruby.
NotFTP is a fully-featured and easy-to-use Web-based HTTP-FTP gateway written in PHP. It supports all common FTP functions and allows the administrator to set a maximum transfer size and a daily transfer quota for users. It is particularly well-suited for making FTP accessible to users behind an HTTP-only proxy.
PHPSlice is a fast, simple, and powerful dynamic Web site engine that is built to run on any OS and with various types of databases. While slightly similar to Slash in some respects, PHPSlice differs in that it is both easy to use and set up, and advanced in its capabilities and features.
Poseidon is yet another PHP weblog, although its goals are a little different from most. Poseidon is intended to be as small, simple, and cleanly organized as possible. It does its job, which is to manage content and allow user feedback via comments, and that's it. Its features can be enhanced and extended via a robust event-driven plugin API, so you never have to install features you won't use.
ReferrerCop parses Apache log files and AWStats data files and removes entries for referring URLs that match a list of known referrer spammers. Logs can be run through ReferrerCop either before or after they're processed by AWStats (or before they're processed by any other log analyzer) to eliminate annoying referrer spam from Web statistics.
Ryan's Anti-Virus Recipe is a Procmail recipe that performs content-based (as opposed to signature-based) filtering for common email viruses using Procmail's scoring feature. Emails that are determined to contain viruses are stamped with a header indicating the name of the virus and are filtered into a user-specified quarantine folder.
